The Arty Crooks Papers are a journey through the life of Arty, a man whose old journal is the base of our creation.
Arty is a character created as a means of expressing our own thoughts, experiences and aspirations. His writings are a reflection of the lives of our grandfathers, fathers and ourselves – passed down, embellished and transcribed. He represents our mutual vivacity and despondence while possessing a wanderlust through which we live vicariously.
A new chapter in Arty's life is unveiled each season, showing us his writings alongside the clothing they inspire. We can read his thoughts and follow his experiences from various time periods and locations passed through as well as the personal highs and lows each of us encounter throughout life. The result is a unique account of the human condition through Arty's eyes.
The life of Arty Crooks has already ended, but he has left the generous gift of experience from the past, to us...the present.
