We want to make it as easy as possible to include your T-Shirts in Rumplo's database, so we've integrated Google's handy "Google Base" product and data feed directly into Rumplo. All you have to do to is Sign in to Rumplo and give us your Google Base data feed. Here's how:
Note: If you have any difficulty with the instructions below don't hesitate to email us at shops@rumplo.com and we'll help set you up.
Why are we using Google Base?
There are a few reasons. Google Base offers a number of free benefits to your shop besides automatically publishing your T-Shirts to Rumplo.com, for example. Being in the Google Base Index means all your T-shirts can be found more easily though Google searches, Google Product searches, etc., which means more links to your website, more traffic, and more sales. We want your shop to do well, and we think this is a way for you to kill two birds with one stone rather than re-inventing the wheel. Google Base also offers an easy to use publishing tool for shops that don't have their own IT department. Posting new products to your Google Base data feed only takes a few seconds, so if your shop doesn't have an XML feed and you don't want to create one just spend a few seconds updating your Google Base data feed when you post a new T-Shirt to your shop and you'll also be updating Rumplo, Google's index of your shop, etc., all in one step. Amazing.
Rumplo's Google Sync requirements
In order to make sure that Rumplo receives useful correct data about your T-Shirts from Google Base there are a few things you need to include on your google base product pages or data feed:

If your store already has an RSS feed, and you have some technical know-how (mostly, just the ability to create a new, custom feed), then you can easily skip the steps of individually posting your shop's T-shirts to Google Base. Take a look at this Google Base help page, pick your appropriate feed type, and follow the instructions to create a data feed.

Nope. You can use Rumplo's own T-Shirt posting tool to publish your T-Shirts to Rumplo one at a time. It's super easy to use, only takes an few seconds, and publishing your T-Shirts to Rumplo will certainly send more traffic and sales your way.
Rumplo exists to promote your brilliant t-shirts, and send traffic your way. Pulling in t-shirts from stores all over the world makes Rumplo a fun place for t-shirts fans to visit and browse, and is therefore a great environment for t-shirt shops. We always display prominent links to stores in order to send traffic your way. Think of Rumplo as a place for new fans to find you. What have you got to lose from submitting your t-shirts to Rumplo, after all, more fans and traffic can't hurt, right?
We made it easy for you to edit the title of any posting on Rumplo, as well as other basic information about a shirt, like it's pricetag, color, designer, and what gender it's for. To adjust these attributes just sign into rumplo and click on the "Edit Tee info" link to the right of the t-shirt artwork. You can also upload images right to the t-shirt page using the "+ Add an image" link in the middle of the page.
Improving the pages your tees are on is sure to make those listings more popular and accurate, which is great for you!
Making your t-shirts easy to share is the easiest way to drive traffic to your store. A great way to do that is to make it easy for applications like Rumplo to crawl your pages and allow your fans to post your t-shirts to around the web with ease. What does that mean?
1. Never use Flash! Flash makes it impossible to link directly to individual t-shirt pages, which in turn makes it impossible for your fans to share a t-shirt they found on your store with folks on Rumplo, their blog, etc.
2. Include large images! The most important part of your shop is making your t-shirts look good, and posting large, sharp images is the best way to do that.
3. Prominently display the t-shirt title, sizes, and designer.
We're always working to improve the way Rumplo imports images from online stores, but generally we look for large images within "img" tags and pull those in. It's actually a bit more sophisticated than that, but generally speaking it's easier for us to pull in images that aren't set to background images, hidden in "lightbox" popups, etc.
